Job Description:

The PFM team comprises diverse professionals, including Product Managers, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Behavioral Scientists, united by a shared vision to create a product enhancing financial decision-making. With a primary focus on AI, the team aims to revolutionize personal finance management.

Situated within the tech organization, the PFM team is dedicated to developing cutting-edge personalized financial management products through AI. It operates at the nexus of data and various financial behaviors of Jupiter users, encompassing spending, saving, borrowing, investing, and insurance.

Our objective is to leverage alternative data, providing users with a holistic view of their financial position and assisting them in optimal decision-making throughout their financial journey. Join our team responsible for constructing foundational data platforms, large-scale machine learning models, and systems, culminating in user-facing product features.

We are actively engaged in creating impactful insights, such as anomaly detection in transactions and categorizing user transactions based not only on expenditure but also on the location of spending. Our feedback-aware system tailors intelligence to individual users, with insights designed to foster improved financial behavior, including budgeting and savings.

The PFM team has introduced the popular Pots feature, a smart savings tool, and plans to extend its functionality to encompass spend management. Additionally, the Pots system facilitates the development of positive financial habits for users.

These core capabilities aim to address user pain points and uncover new product opportunities. Join our team of machine learning engineers, frontend engineers, scientists, and annotators, collaborating with product managers and designers to deliver a signature mobile experience.

As the Leader of the Personal Finance Management (PFM) Team, you will play a pivotal role in setting the vision, clear goals, and evangelizing ideas across critical stakeholders, gaining founder buy-in before embarking on team execution.

Responsibilities:

• Build, grow, and lead a high-performing team to develop end-to-end technical solutions, fostering innovation with a customer-centric mindset.
• Apply creative thinking to determine technical solutions aligning with business and product objectives, incorporating best engineering practices.
• Collaborate with technical leadership to drive critical programs, initiate cross-functional initiatives, and contribute to company-wide engineering excellence.
• Architect and build a robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure.
• Create an environment for team members to flourish, collaborating closely with engineers and scientists to maximize their potential.
• Work with product managers to ensure the fulfillment of the PFM product vision in each product journey, influencing the product roadmap based on technical considerations.
• Reimagine the fintech world, building high-traffic consumer products in the Personal Finance category, positioning Jupiter as a trusted advisor.
• Juggle complex data, demonstrate a strong understanding of AI, Data Analytics, and Statistical Inferences, measuring success by high user retention through Jupiter advisory(PFM) insights.
• Foster relationships with various stakeholders across Investments, Banking, Lending Products, and more for faster business outcomes.
• Inspire and evangelize ideas, securing strong buy-in from the Founder/C-Level team and other teams for overall product success.

Qualifications:

• BS/BTech Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• MS/MTech in artificial intelligence, statistics, or related practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience with 4+ years of team management.
• Proficient in designing and developing RESTful web services.
• Experience in building scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
• Expertise in Scala/Java or other object-oriented programming languages; Python expertise is a plus.
• Strong background in applying AI algorithms in product development.
• Proven experience in building and leading teams.
