About the Team:

Paytm is expanding its Recharge and Bill Payments analytics team and is seeking passionate and skilled analysts to enhance the user base on the Paytm ecosystem. The team focuses on optimizing user experiences for services such as Prepaid Recharge, DTH Recharge, and Electricity Bill Payments.

Job Description:

We are looking for an Analytics professional to join our Recharge and Bill Payments analytics team. Your primary responsibility will involve optimizing growth campaigns and reminders through the development of robust measurement frameworks. You will continually enhance user targeting to maximize return on marketing spend. Additionally, you will conduct in-depth analyses to identify actionable opportunities across the product funnel, collaborating closely with partners in product and business teams to implement effective solutions for desired business outcomes.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  1. Build and maintain analytical reports and dashboards for a comprehensive view of Recharge and Bill Payments campaign performance.
  2. Develop user segmentation strategies for targeted campaigns throughout the user life cycle.
  3. Implement test-and-learn approaches to optimize growth campaigns and provide detailed test readouts for informed decision-making.
  4. Utilize Paytm's data resources effectively, identifying the most relevant data for analytical problem-solving.
  5. Advocate for data-driven decision-making within the team and to business and product owners.
  6. Identify data needs and drive projects to improve data quality.

Superpowers/Skills for Success:

  1. Proficient in SQL/Hive with expertise in building scalable business reporting solutions.
  2. Previous experience optimizing business strategy, product, or processes using data and analytics.
  3. Knowledge of languages such as Scala, Java, or Python.
  4. Experience with Tableau, Power Bi, BigQuery, Hive, Looker Studio, or other big data processing frameworks.
  5. Ability to directly partner with business owners to understand product requirements.
  6. Effective spoken and written communication skills for senior audiences, including strong data presentation and visualization skills.
  7. Success in working with extremely large datasets using big data technologies.
  8. Detail-oriented with an aptitude for solving unstructured problems.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, statistics, mathematics, economics, business, or a similar quantitative field. Master’s in these fields is preferred.
  2. 2 to 3 years of work experience in an analytics role in financial services, e-commerce, consulting, or the technology domain.
