Profile overview:

• As a Data Scientist at Jio Platforms Limited (JPL), you will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of the Jio Ads platform. This platform serves advertisements across multiple publishers, enabling advertisers to maximize their revenue through data-driven intelligence and innovative features. Your primary responsibility will involve writing and modifying models for the available datasets to achieve the expected use cases for commercial products within the JioAds platform. You will work closely with technical leads, product managers, data scientists, and data engineers to ensure that the models not only address business needs but also provide tangible value to customers. Your expertise in mathematics, statistics, and various programming languages such as Python, Java, TensorFlow, PyTorch, PySpark, and scikit-learn will be crucial in maintaining the relevance and effectiveness of ads seen by users. This role demands strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of data science principles to contribute to the continuous evolution and innovation of the platform.

Qualifications:

• Required Skills and Experience:
  • Educational Background:
    • Degree in Computer Science or a related field with a solid foundation in mathematical concepts.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in data science and analytical skills.
    • Strong knowledge of mathematics, statistics, linear algebra, calculus, and probability.
    • Experience with programming languages such as Python and Java.
    • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, PySpark, and scikit-learn.
  • Professional Experience:
    • Hands-on experience in writing and modifying machine learning models.
    • Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders including technical leads, product managers, and data engineers.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
